Hi and ho!
This week me and my dive buddies went to one of our usual places in the Gullmarsfjord for this year's first goldmars dive, namely the port of Jordfall. We dressed up and divided ourselves into dive pairs and then dived out and started diving. The water was quite high which made something felt a little strange as we went out to it a little deeper to put on fins. As it had been raining a lot lately, the water in the surface was brown with humus substances and lay like a lid blocking the light from reaching deeper down which made it become like a night dive when you got under the lid, even though it was in the middle of the day.

Me and my dive buddy swam out and went down the cliffs. well down we started swimming along the cliffs and down to reach a reasonable depth. During this dive, we observed a large number of shannies (Leptoclinus sp. Or Lumpenus sp.) Out on the soft bottom at about 20 m depth.
When we then turned and started swimming back we saw an area with many nudibranches of a slightly larger variant about 16 m deep.

On the second dive, me and my dive-buddy decided that we would go a little deeper on the soft bottom, Said and done. Had a different bottle than I usually have, which caused me to draw more air than I usually do. At the beginning of the dive I also discovered that I did not put on the glove properly which meant that I had a very wet left hand the whole dive.
When we got down to the depth we wanted, we started swimming around a bit and looking at things. As we began to approach the decompression time, I saw a small figure dart past my lamp, it turned out to be a little bobtail squid, so I stopped for a little while and photographed it before it was time to quickly go a little shallower so as not to have to lie on decompression .
We swam at a fast pace until we reached a depth where we didn't have to worry about decompression time, from there we swam quietly until we reached the safety stop and lay there for about 3 minutes.
All in all, this was a very good dive day.

So until next time, keep on swimming!
